SCORE offers regularly scheduled seminars. These are especially designed to help people starting out in business, but are open to all interested participants.

SEMINAR DESCRIPTIONS

Currently, three seminars are offered:

"How to Really Start Your Own Business" Topics include business ideas, structuring the business, licensing, finding money, marketing, cash-flow, and business plans. Pre-registration is $45.00 per attendee. The seminar starts at 9:00AM and ends at 1:00PM. This seminar includes a manual, class notes, and other useful materials.

"Managing Your Business Finances"
Topics include understanding financial management, understanding accounts, using financial reports, following a sample set of transactions. Pre-registration is $45.00 per attendee. The seminar starts at 9:00AM and ends at 11:30AM. This seminar includes class notes, and a working copy of a Windows-based accounting package: SimpleStart from QuickBooks®.

"Obtaining An SBA Express Loan"
The SBA Express loan provides from $5,000 to $50,000 to any qualified business, and without ANY collateral requirement. If this might be the financing you are seeking, sign up for the next presentation. Registration is $10. This seminar starts at 10am and ends at 12pm. Loan applications and SCORE counselors are available at the presentation.

SEMINAR FEES AND REGISTRATION

Fees given are for pre-registration only, and vary with each seminar. There is a $5 surcharge if you register at the door. You can pre-register in person, by mail, by phone using Visa or Mastercard, or on-line by using PayPal.
